- The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) was set up by the Government of Punjab to assess and examine students’ learning achievements especially of grade 5 and 8. The commission, through annual examinations, not only aims to examine students learning achievement but also to improve education standard in government schools of Punjab. PEC was established in 2005 and conducts its exams every year in the month of February. PEC is responsible for conducting grade 8th exams while the matriculation exams are conducted by BISE’s all over Punjab. PEC announces the result after one month of exams i.e in the month of March. The results are announced on 31st March every year. After that, PEC sends the result gazette to all DCOs offices where students can check their results individually or through their schools. Unlike other board, PEC has a unique system for checking results online where students can check their results on PEC’s official website and also get their original mark sheets online by just entering their name! This system is called ‘E-Rozgaar’ which makes it very convenient for students to get their results online.
