Every student who is going to appear on board sooner or later is participating in this immense race of competition and grades. One of the 3 compulsory subjects that gathers a bulk of marks is the language Urdu. Here is how you can replicate the success of the Board toppers.

The one who wishes to become a pro in getting his hand on his marks from the examiner must know how to attract him toward his paper. Only two things can make you do so,

  1. Prepare well
  2. Present well

We want our audience to be fully satisfied with their conscience related to our website, hence we proffer you with the best of our research to make you understand and analyze. The Urdu language has been known by a variety of names. According to one estimate, Urdu is spoken by at least 100 million people around the world.

In Pakistan, it is understood and spoken by nearly 90% of the population. It was used as the national anthem of Pakistan from Independence in 1947 until Pakistan adopted its current national anthem in 1954. Due to its easy comprehensibility and a rich literature, it is widely spoken and understood in Afghanistan and India. As well, Urdu is an official language of Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkand, and West Bengal.

The language enjoys a special status in Bihar because of its association with Bihari Muslims who were instrumental in propagating the language among Muslims in Delhi during British rule. Besides, it is also a compulsory subject in the Hindi and Urdu medium school systems. Historically, Urdu has been associated with Muslims in the northern Indian subcontinent.

Apart from specialized vocabulary, it is mutually intelligible with Standard Hindi, another recognized register of Hindustani. Modern Standard Urdu is a direct descendant of old Hindavi and has taken loanwords from Persian, Arabic and Sanskrit just like modern Standard Hindi has taken from Persian and Sanskrit.

Usama Saeed Butt, my class fellow in 2nd-Year, studying at Fazaia Inter College, Lahore Cantt who got 94 marks in Urdu in 1st year – 2015, Federal Board – 480 out of 505, 95%.

These are amazing marks to get, to put it mildly. A lot of students, especially on this blog, requested me to share the Urdu papers of a topper, so, here we go:

Let’s Begin The Game

I’ve observed the papers keenly and in-depth and that lead me to the following facts:

Why Headings

Headings must be given as it makes it easy for the checker to check your paper. The greater the ease you provide, the better the chance you have of getting great marks.

How Many Lines An Answer

Every answer is written in 6 lines( 72 words). It means that, to get 90+ marks, we have to write such an answer. Of course, the current guides don’t give such long answers to every question. You have to make use of your book, your teacher’s lecture, and guides to writing such an answer in your own notebook.

Where To Use A Blue Marker

Couplets (Chair) are written in relevant places with a blue marker in most of the answers. The following things should be written with a blue marker:

  • Difficult words
  • Numbers (For example, Kursi Bna Deti Hai Bony Ko 6 Fut Ka, You have to bold the word ‘6 Fut’)
  • Effective Synonym (For example, Dulat, Paisa, Gari, Bagla)
  • The name of a person
  • Couplets (Shair) etc.

Marvelous Letter

When it comes to writing a letter, you have to keep in mind the following points:

  • Start from a new page. If you have a lot of space to write, you can just write P.T.O. (Please Turn Over). Because when you start from the bottom, it doesn’t give a good impression. A letter must be written within 2.5 pages to get 7 out of 8 marks, provided couplets, Hadith, and Ayah are written. It must be written in the form of paragraphs. Every paragraph has its own central idea. For example, the 2nd paragraph says that the world will come to an end (Dunya Fani Hai), then you have to elaborate and expand on the same thing.

Effective Nasr

While writing a Nasr, keep in mind the following points:

  • The first heading must be of Hawala-e-Matan which is subdivided into Sabaq Ka Unwaan and Musanif Ka Naam.
  • The second heading is of Siyaq-o-Sabaq in which you can write the summary of the lesson in 10 lines.
  • The third heading is of Tashreeh. Under this heading, you have to write a short biography of the author in 3 to 4 lines.
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 couplets must be written.

Amazing Bandd

When it comes to writing a bandd, do the followings:

  • You have to write 3 headings: i) Hawala-e-Band, which is again subdivided into a) Nazam Ka Naam b) Shayar Ka Naam c) Mafhoom – in which you will write what the poet wants to say iii) Tashree
  • To get 5 out of 6 marks, you have to write an explanation in 3.5 pages with 7 couplets. That is really an uphill task for an average student.
  • Write a paragraph, then one couplet, then again write a paragraph, put 2 couplets, and so on. In this way, you will write a long explanation.

Astonishing Ghazal

Now, it is time to understand the philology of Ghazals.

3 Headings;

  1. Shayar Ka Naam
  2. Mafhoom
  3. Tashreeh.

4 couplets must be written to get the maximum marks.

The Explanation should comprise 2 to 3 pages.

Incredible Essay

How to tackle the Urdu essay, here we go:

  • Minimum length of 6 pages.
  • Minimum inclusion of 20 couplets, Hadith, Ayat, and Quotations.
  • Write a paragraph, then one couplet, again, write a paragraph, put 2 couplets in, and so on. In this way, you will write a long essay easily.

We recommend you to go through all of the paper once. So you can have the clear knowledge of how your paper should exactly look like at last. To meet this standard not just you have to improve your urdu skills but also you need to develop interest by giving this subject its required time.

The more you will assess your creativity in interpreting your ideas in words by using a proficient vocab the more you become a perfectionist. So give your language the importance its desires and strive hard to ace your exam.
