What is GMAT?

GMAT is regulated by the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC). It is administered throughout the year at various official test centers. GMAC offers separate test centers list for students studying abroad and the ones in It is regulated by the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC).

How to Register for GMAT in Pakistan?

  2. Online

Way 1: Through Telephone Call

In Pakistan, there are three GMAT test centers:

  • Lahore
  • Rawalpindi
  • Karachi

In order to schedule your test appointment by phone, the enthusiasts need to use the following telephone numbers based on their location:

Fee Payment

Once the appointment gets approved, the candidates pay the GMAT appointment fee that amounts to US$250 – around 39,00 Pakistani rupees. Quite an amount, and thus, the preparation shall be done accordingly.

Preferred modes of payment for GMAT are:

  • Credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express or JCB)
  • Debit card (Visa and Master card only)

Apart from these, money order, cashier’s check, and personal check are valid only for mailed forms. Since mailing becomes a bit problematic, candidates prefer the methods mentioned before.

Way 2: Online Registration

Step 1 – Sign up on mba.com

Log on to mba.com. Clicking ‘sign up’ located on the top right corner will redirect you to the sign-up page that asks the following information from the applicants:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • E-mail address
  • Password

Once you agree to GMAC’s terms of use and privacy, your account will be created, and then, you will formally start the GMAT registration process.

Step 2 – Initiate the GMAT registration process

To start registering for the GMAT, click on the Exams tab on the top of the page, and you will be redirected to another page. Click on ‘Register Now,’ and you will be taken to the profile creation page.

On this page, the following inquiries will be made from you:

  • Title (Mr., Ms., Mrs., Dr.)
  • First Name
  • Middle Name(s)
  • Last Name
  • Suffix, if applicable (Jr., Sr., II, III, IV)
  • E-mail address

Once you fill all the above information, click on the button, ‘Next,’ to fill up your personal information.

Step 3 – Enter your personal information

At this step, you will have to provide the following information:

  • Country/ Region of residence
  • Address
  • Primary telephone number
  • Correspondence language (preferably English)

Once you click ‘Next,’ the next page will ask for some more details:

  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Country of citizenship
  • First or native language (optional)
  • Second language (optional)
  • Third language (optional)

Now for your communication preferences. It will enquire if you want to

  • connect with graduate business schools, scholarship organizations and strategic partners of GMAC who participate in the GMASS service
  • receive the information via SMS/ text

Step 4: Enter Optional Information

The information asked at this step will be entirely optional, so you can easily choose to skip this step. This page asks for following academic information:

  • Highest level of education attended
  • The institution from where you got your degree
  • Month and year of graduation or expected graduation
  • Undergraduate major or primary field of study
  • Undergraduate secondary field of study
  • Overall undergraduate GPA

Step 5 – Verify your profile

After verification, the candidate will click on ‘save the profile.’ At this juncture, the information provided is almost complete.

Step 6: Schedule your GMAT exam

For this step, up to 3 test centers nearest to your preferred location will be selected. Make a wise choice to avoid any glitches on the test day. Now, you will be asked to choose a date for the test.

Step 7 – Pay the GMAT registration fee

This is the last and most important part of the registration process. You’ll be asked to verify the appointment details. A time-lapse of 15 minutes to complete your order will be allocated.
