9 Tips to Study Maths Effectively at Matric and F.Sc Level

I see many students who ask "How to solve Maths","How to remember formulas", "Maths Buhat Mushkal Hai Yar!" and other such problems and questions.

Keep reading this article; I'll remove your all your confusions
Being a teacher, I know the ways to getting excellent marks in Maths, and I got 75/75 in 10th Class, 99/100 in 1st year and 98/100 in 2nd year.
And those students who seem Maths to be a complex subject, after reading this article, I am sure, Maths would become an easy subject provided you follow all the tips listed below that I have been still using to get higher marks.

1. Pay Attention During a Lecture and Feel You Know Nothing

Many students don't pay attention during the lecture and after the lecture when they sit to study Maths, you know what they say "What kind of this question is, I have never seen in my life".

So paying attention during the lecture is the most critical for Maths.
If you are the student who loves to do fun in the classroom with their friends to make memories worth recalling, and you think I go to an academy, and you presume you don't need to pay attention, then your this attitude may be responsible for getting low marks.
So, whenever a lectured is delivered, you should think as if you know nothing and your teacher is your teacher who knows more than you.

2. Don't Take It Easy, and Just Listening is Not Enough

In my life, I've seen many students who take Maths very easy.

They never do questions by their hands, because they believe, seeing is everything - it may work in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, but never in Maths.

Students see only the solutions of problems from a guide and start to think like Einstein, and it's the biggest mistake.
And when they take the exams, they are unable to attempt those questions whose solutions they looked at the guide.

So don't take it easy. Change your way of thinking! Just changing attitude can do miracles!

3. Practice, Practice and More Practice

You have heard this a thousand times in your life, "Practice makes a man perfect", but you have never taught of its power, it has a profound meaning that lets an athlete to win a gold medal in Olympic Game, a doctor becomes a great surgeon, a student becomes a Maths master.
Maths is just like a regular game.
Math is just like a game. When you are playing a game for the 1st time, you're able to complete only 1 or 2 levels of that game.

By practice daily, one day you complete all the levels of the game.

Remember, how hard it was to collect 100 coins in Subway Surfer? But by playing daily, you easily reach your target.

Just like a game if you do Maths properly and daily then you will get the full marks in this subject.

The most significant advantage you can get from the practice is that Maths becomes easy for you, trust me; you will start loving Maths if you practice more and more on a daily basis.

I know in the beginning, it may seem boring, but it will be fun after you have become a master.

As the saying goes "The more you practice, the more you learn".

4. Revise Syllabus On Weekends

According to my experience, no one can keep a thing in mind for more than 8 days by reading it the first time.
If you listen to the lecture attentively, you practice on the daily basis, but you don't revise again, then it's completely useless. Kasmy Useless!
So revision is significant for all subjects on the weekend.

Recall all the methods that you have read from Monday to Saturday and then solve any question for each method that you learned on Sunday. This will make you perfect in Maths.

5. How To Remember Mathematics Formulas

Many students face problem in remembering the formulas of Maths. It's not an easy task and you can't rely on your mind to keep such stuff for a longer period of time.

For this, make a small copy or diary and name it "Formulas" (If you haven't bought, you should buy it now after reading this article. Learn to take action :D )

If you learn any new method that helps to solve the problem effectively, then write it in that diary. You can write a step by step way even in Roman Urdu. Because you're making for yourself!

At the end of the day, check how many formulas you've studied and write them on the rough register or copy 3 to 5 times to memorize better.

After every day, recall all the previous formulas especially before sleeping as it makes you more sleepy, but Pory formulas Dekh Kar Ky Sona :P.
In this way, all formulas will be in your mind for a lifetime. I made a diary of formulas for in  every class. and now these diaries are helping me a lot in university. However, there are specific tricks for specific formulas to remember them.
Did you look at the above picture? Here is how I remember, it is that trick 😁

Make every formula a funny statement.

6. Clear Your Doubts

Many students skip the doubtful questions and jump to the next. It's a terrible habit.

If you feel that you've a doubt about a problem then clear it by yourself by doing experiments.

In case of failure, contact your teacher or any other person who has command on Maths.

After clearing the doubt, you will feel relax and will enjoy Maths a little more.
Don't keep your doubts in mind. Share with friends so that they can remove it from your mind. Otherwise, it may have some devastating effect. Doubts Kill Na!!
Don't feel hesitation, and don't feel being insulted when you ask questions!

Those students are a lot succesful who ask a question.

7. Discussion with Friends

Real friends are the best helper.

So keep discussing each problem you face.

Many times my friends don't get the point from the lecture, they discuss with me after the lecture, and I clear him each point.
It's a natural fact that many times students understand the method from their friends more effectively as compared to the teachers.
Because they are of the same level, mind works exactly the same, so it makes easy for a friend to explain well.

So discuss every single doubt and problem with friends so that they can make your doubts clear and all aspects of the lecture in Maths.

Make good friends, and get good marks. :)

8. Relate Maths with Real Life Problems

How many times you have heard the term, "Try to relate this problem to your life to make your life easier,"? A lot of times, but only few tell you the right way.

For example, when you learn the formula to calculate percentage of a given value, you can calculate yours by writing the marks you may get in 9th Class by the total marks, then multiply with 100.

If you get 470 marks in 9th class out of 520, then it becomes 470/520*100= 90%.

The same goes for theorems that you study in 9th and 10th class.
When it is said A angle is equal to B, and B is equal to C, it means C is equal to A. You can apply this problem in your life. For example, if your height is equal to Ali, and Ali's height is equal Hamza, then Hamza and you are equal in height.
You just need to use your brain in order to relate the problem to your real life, i know it takes time, but it is worth doing, and make study easy, enjoyable and less boring.

9. Prime Time for Studying

Every student has its own taste of flavour, some like Baryani, some like Pizza, and you may find the students who love eating Somosa with Chatni :P

The same goes for time, every student has a prime time when his concentration is at peak and can memorize stuff in less time as compared to other time.
Prime Time is a time when your concentration is at peak and you love studying at that time. It may last 1 to 3 hours in the morning, afternoon or at night. And you can memorize a topic in less time.
The time may be early in the morning after Fajar, or at night when you can feel the silence.

You have to find your prime time, then try to study hard subjects at that time.

If you're studying in afternoon, and you feel sleepy then take a nap of 20 minutes.

It will make you refresh as if you were slept 3 hours.

Don't believe me? Take a nap of 20 minutes, then check your creativity. And don't forget to set up an alarm, when you will sleep for 20 minutes, without an alarm you may sleep for many hours.

Nap is helpful to your body, mind and soul.

Another most important thing is to start study from the easy problem, even do some basic Maths because you have to start study, once you start, you can study for a longer period of time.

Many students face problem to take initiate to study because millions of thoughts are going on their minds, they need to stay focus.

So don't procrastinate, and study hard to make your parents proud.
